Account deletion
Delete your Bnyat account
Last updated: 14 September 2026Applies to the Bnyat app (Android and iOS) and bnyat.krd
You can delete your account at any time inside the app, or request deletion by email. Both remove your sign-in and personal learning profile, with the retained records and files described below. Deletion is permanent and paid course access cannot be restored, so read this page before you start.
In the app
Immediate- Open Bnyat and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Under Privacy, tap Delete account.
- Read what will be removed, then tap Delete my account and confirm.
- Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out.
If you signed in with Google, the app also disconnects Bnyat from your Google account.
By email
Identity confirmed first- From the email address linked to your Bnyat account, write to hello@bnyat.krd with the subject “Delete my account”.
- Include your student code (the
BNY-XXXX-NNcode on your Profile) so we find the right account. - We confirm your identity before processing the request, then email you when the account has been deleted.
Used Apple’s Hide My Email? Write from any address and include your student code — we send the confirmation to your relay address, which Apple forwards to you.
What gets deleted
- Your sign-in and student profile, including its name, email address and avatar reference.
- Your active student code; copies in purchase and accounting records remain.
- Learning progress: enrolled courses, watched videos, streaks, quiz answers and scores.
- Your private flashcard decks and cards, with your review history and schedule.
- Your National Exam community posts, comments, saved-post and reaction records.
- Your uploaded avatar, flashcard images, and community pictures or PDF files.
- Share links you created — they stop working.
- Signed-in device records and your push notification token.
- Notification, language and other preferences.
The app removes your uploads before deleting your account. If file cleanup fails, deletion stops and you can retry or ask us for help. The retained records and copies below are exceptions; see the Privacy Policy for details.
What is kept
- Anonymised aggregate statistics — counts that cannot identify you.
- Optional deletion feedback, which is stored without an account reference.
- Payment, refund and purchased-access records, including the student name and code, account reference, purchased content, amounts, payment references and dates. We retain these for reconciliation, refunds and accounting. Your bank or payment provider also keeps its own records under its own privacy policy.
- Community decks you published that were approved stay in the catalog under the author name you published with. Email us if you want them removed too.
- Copies of decks that other students saved from your share links stay with them. Removing your uploaded images also removes those images from shared decks or copies that link to them. Files other people already downloaded are outside Bnyat’s control.
- Backup copies may remain separately from active account data. Email us for information about retained records and backups.
Before you delete
Paid access cannot be restored.
Courses are unlocked on your account, not on you. After deletion they are gone, and signing in again creates a new account with a new student code.
- Downloaded lessons — the app clears its downloads when your account is deleted. Uninstalling the app also clears its local files.
- Problem with a device lock, a course that is not unlocked, or a payment? Deleting your account will not fix it. Contact us first — most of these take one message to sort out.
