Terms of Service

Bnyat is made for high-school students in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. You must be at least 13 to use it. If you are under 18, make sure a parent or guardian is happy for you to use Bnyat and to pay for courses on your behalf.

“Bnyat”, “we” and “us” mean the Bnyat team that runs the app and bnyat.krd. “You” means the student using the account.

• You sign in with Google or Apple. Keep that account and your phone secure — anything done while signed in counts as done by you.
• One account per student. Do not share your account, sell it, or let someone else study on it.
• Your student code (BNY-XXXX-NN) identifies you for payments and support. Share it only with the Bnyat team.
• Give us accurate profile details — grade, track, school — because they shape the plan and content you see.

Paid lesson videos play on one device per account. The device you use for paid lessons becomes your active device. To switch — for example after getting a new phone — follow the prompt in the app or contact us, and we will move your access to the new device. Switching back and forth to share an account with someone else is not allowed and may lead to suspension.

Bnyat is free to download and much of it is free to use. Some courses and flashcard decks are paid. The price and the access period are shown before you pay.

Payment options vary by app version and where it is distributed. Where FIB checkout is available, access is granted after Bnyat verifies payment with FIB. Access arranged through the Bnyat team is granted after the payment is matched to your student code. Purchased courses stay available for the stated access period. Access belongs to your account and cannot be transferred to another student.

Checkout availability is shown in the app version you use.

We handle refund requests case by case. If something is wrong with a course you paid for, or you paid by mistake, contact us at hello@bnyat.krd as soon as you can, with your student code and the payment details, and we will look at it with you. Refunds use the original payment method where supported. A requested FIB refund is only complete once FIB confirms it; access granted by that purchase is then removed.

• Download, copy, record, screenshot or redistribute lesson videos, flashcard decks or other materials outside the app.
• Share your account or your paid access with anyone else.
• Get around the one-device rule, the video protection, or any other technical limit.
• Scrape, crawl or bulk-export content, or access Bnyat with anything other than the official app and website.
• Reverse engineer, decompile or tamper with the app.
• Upload content that is unlawful, offensive, hateful, sexual, violent or misleading, that infringes someone else’s rights, or that contains other people’s personal information.
• Impersonate another person, a teacher or the Bnyat team.
• Disrupt the service — spam it, overload it, or try to reach accounts or systems that are not yours.

You own the flashcards and decks you create. By sharing a deck by link or submitting it to the community, you give Bnyat permission to store, display and distribute it to the students you share it with, for as long as it is shared or published.

Community decks are reviewed by the Bnyat team before they appear. To be published, a deck must be your own work or material you have the right to share, accurate, respectful, free of advertising, and free of other people’s personal information. Students can report a deck, and we may decline to publish or take down a deck without giving a reason.

Before publishing or sharing content, you must accept the community rules in the app. Treat others respectfully: harassment, hate, sexual or graphic violent content, spam, private information and material you do not have permission to share are prohibited. You can report posts, comments, decks or their authors, and block other users from the content menu. Manage your blocked users in Profile, then Privacy. Blocking hides community content and prevents interactions in both directions; copies you already own remain in your library. Bnyat reviews reports and may remove content, revoke shared links or restrict accounts.

Published community decks stay available to other students even if you later delete your account; email us if you want them removed.

Lesson videos, official flashcard decks, quizzes, study plans, graphics and the app itself belong to Bnyat and the teachers who create them. When you enrol in a course you get a personal, non-transferable licence to study that content inside the app for as long as your access lasts. You do not get any other rights to it.

If you break these terms we may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close your account. In serious cases — such as sharing paid content or accounts — access you paid for may be lost without a refund. Where we can, we will tell you what happened and how to reach us if you think we got it wrong.

Bnyat is in active development. We add, change and occasionally remove features, and courses may be updated as the curriculum changes. We work to keep Bnyat available, but like any online service it may be down for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. If we ever close a paid course before its access period ends, we will tell you and offer a fair solution.

Bnyat is provided “as is”. We work hard on the quality of the teaching, but we cannot promise a particular grade or exam result — that part is yours.

To the extent the law allows, Bnyat is not liable for indirect losses (such as lost time or missed opportunities), and our total liability to you for anything connected to the service is limited to the amount you paid Bnyat in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You can delete your account at any time — see the Delete your account page. Deleting it ends any paid access, and we cannot restore it afterwards. We may close accounts that break these terms (see Breaking the rules), telling you first where we can.

We may update these terms as Bnyat grows. The date at the top of this page shows the current version. If a change is significant we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Bnyat after that means you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and the Republic of Iraq. If we have a disagreement, contact us first — most problems are solved with a conversation. If that fails, the courts of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq have jurisdiction.
